Community and Voluntary Services Cheshire East has a team of staff and volunteers providing information, advice, support, resources and training to groups, across the Borough of Cheshire East, to help them start-up, develop and manage them selves effectively.
The team can provide development support for a wide range of organisations and has a special interest in supporting new and emerging groups, small groups and those working in rural areas.
How can we help?
If you are thinking of setting up a group, or have begun your activities, we can help you with:
- getting yourself organised
- clarifying your aims and objectives
- developing the structure of your organisation
- setting up a committee and running meetings
- looking at the various roles and responsibilities within your organisation
- writing a constitution
- getting charitable status if needed
- developing good practice: policies and procedures to guide your activities and protect your members (including appropriate insurance)
- develop your members skills: provide access to training
- contacts in other organisations
This list is not exhaustive. If you would like to know more and/or have any further issues your would like to discuss, please contact us on 01270 763100.
